Future Innovator Scholarship Applications Now Accepted

The National Society of Black Engineers – Alumni Extension, Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area Chapter (NSBE-AEDC) Scholarship Award is pleased to inform you of its 2012 Future Innovator Scholarship.

This scholarship was established as a means of recognizing and rewarding students who have demonstrated academic excellence as well as outstanding service within their communities. It is a merit-based scholarship awarded to students greaduating seniors pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, or mathematics. Candidates selected will recieve a $1,000 scholarship and an invitation to the 2012 NSBE-AEDC Annual Scholarship Reception to recieve formal recognition of their accomplishment.
To apply, students must meet the following qualifications:
- Applicants must be African-American high school seniors residing in the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area (limited to Montgomery, Prince George’s, Howard, Charles, and Anne Arundel counties in Maryland; Alexandria City, Arlington, Prince William, Loudoun, Fairfax, and Stafford counties in Northern Virginia).
- At the time of application, scholarship applicants must have applied for admission to an accredited college or university in a degree program in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or an applied science.
- Applications should be postmarked no later than February 29, 2012 and mailed to the following address:
